Happy Mardi Gras!

Today is Shrove Tuesday. Wouldn't it be great to have an RGBP traditional Shrove Tuesday Pancake race? That's where you run with a frying pan and have to flip your pancake several times while racing to the finish line. If you drop the pancake, you're disqualified.
I wonder if anyone is doing that anymore?

Grace, I don't want to run with a frying pan! I remember going to Shrove Tuesday Pancake Suppers at the Episcopal church as a little girl. I don't know if this is done anymore or not. I think the purpose was to have a meatless meal.

Oh, pancake suppers almost always include a little sausage for protein (pancakes also use up the fat, for Fat Tuesday).

I've got my beads on, and I'm taking some to work. Mardi Gras was a big deal in St. Louis, so I'm spreading the beads in OKC. Happy Mardi Gras!
