I promised myself I'd be finished with my sermon (Mary and Martha. Again? So soon after the last time???), worship bulletin and prayers so I can stop everything when the truck arrives with the new Harry Potter book.

Instead, I'm looking around at a messy house wondering where to find a shovel to clean up the junk.

Not sure what to do with myself today.

The UPS website tells me that The Book has been "IN TRANSIT TO FINAL DESTINATION" since 1:10 yesterday afternoon. Liars. For pete's sake, the distribution center is only 20 minutes away!

No, no problems being patient here...

Read Harry Potter - the house can wait.

Thou and I both. Book is sitting on the stairs, finished by daughter and not yet claimed by sons...but the house is horrific (specially my study) and the sermon conspicuous by its absence. Oh, and daughter has not been generous with her reviews....

I have sermon done, wedding sermon done, and am sitting around twiddling my thumbs. I should be cleaning up, I know. I also am so tempted to go out and get a copy of the book! But once I start reading, I'm dead to the world until I'm done, so I'm trying to be good.....which if I was serious about that, there wouldn't be this much cat fur on everything!

I vote READ. The dust bunnies can entertain themselves.

Read, St. Cassie, read....
When you are reading your eyes are on the book, not on the mess. And everyone knows, especially our male counterparts, that if you don't see it, it doesn't exist......

Just ask yourself, "What would Mrs. Weasly Do?"

"For the dusting you have always with you."
