Here's what I've heard since Friday:
I've gained 25 lbs. since the Storm. I guess we were denied for so long that we keep "treating" ourselves. ---BSL resident
We've had another "Katrina Spike" at the hospital. ---hospital administrator
I went to the Coast. I can't go back, it's too sad. How can you live there? ---lawyer upstate
I can't cry. I can't eat. My stomach hurts. ---friend
I know I have PTSD. I just try to go on with it. ---friend
This is my life and the life of those around me for miles and miles. Everyday, we cope with the aftermath. The above comments aren't complaints. Just stating the facts.

Prayers.... and hugs...
What they said. Me, too.
How utterly devastating this has been. Please keep reminding us that all is not back to normal. Those of us who get lazy in our prayers and service need the reminders.

Please know we are praying, thinking, loving you.

I want to add one:
I'm so tired of working in an office trailer!!! G-d help those that are living in FEMA trailers, those that haven't been kicked out yet.
But most of all, even after 2 years, 5 months:
My heart still aches for all that was lost.

i know you are not as touchy feely as me...so i'm not sending you big hugs, i am only wishing i was around to share a diet coke with you and maybe craft our way through some of these feelings!! love you!
I had a chat with one of my kids about the Katrina aftermath. We looked at pictures of your church. She said, "Mom, it's just like 9-11 but there aren't as many flags. Or politicians. That's not right."
From her mouth to God's Ear...
