Week Three of the Empty Nest
Looking around the family room today, I noticed that one of my children left a message for me. The house was quiet, the kitchen sink empty, no tv's blaring out but, there up on the ledge on the high windows, I spotted one blue peanut butter M&M.
Good job, kids! I cannot get it down with the dust mop or the telescoping cleaning wand thingie!
I miss you.
Love,
St.Casserole, the Mom

What a sweet discovery!
and how did it get there???
made me smile.
yeah, how 'zaclty did it end up there?
The Casserole children threw the M&M up there!
Reminds me of the pre-fab dinner rolls served by the CTS kitchen for seminarians. One lone roll made it up to the VERY high windows of the dining hall. The roll remained, a solemn witness to playful theological tadpoles, for years until the hall was re-painted.
Now that's talent!
I am still confussed...di one of the Cass Kids threwup an M and M...
or did one of the Cass Kids throw the M and M onto the window?
Amazingly enough CTS still serves teh same rolls, there are more "eyes" watching now though!
sweet
sad
how are you?
i have a beanie baby in a similr predicament and it's been there for two years - you can only see it from the second floor, so I forget about it - and I do not dust the 15 foot ledges often obviously. I never thought about looking at it affectionately... hmmm... maybe that could be my excuse for leaving it
