2008 Books Read

The Careful Use of Compliments by Alexander McCall Smith

Fourth in the Isabel Dalhousie series.

Loved it. Isabel, a philosopher, goes through all the thickets of philosophical thought to make decisions, loves poetry and art and falls for a younger man. She's in her early 40's, he's in his twenties.

Okay, so I am 39 and i think I might have trouble keeping up with a twenty-something guy.
But, anyhow, I could fantasize about being able to keep up with him and live vicarioulsy through her.
I want my 20-something year old butt back. I got saggy-ass bad.
Iwant that cute little shelf butt back. You know the one that looks like you could balance a martini on it.
Melech the Cat likes my butt. He says it makes a nice soft bed.

Yes, I've read about 3 (is that how many there are?) books in this series, they're wonderful!
