Things I Can Live Without

*people using toothpicks anywhere in my vision path

*whistling tunes off or on key

*drivers who ride bumpers of other drivers

*people who chain their dogs to a stake all day everyday

*beets, brussel sprouts and creamed green peas

*mosquitos, gnats and flying roaches

Well, *I* like Brussels sprouts. But I once spat out beets and got in big, big trouble with my mother.

I am a brussel sprouts fan, but right there with you on the beets.

I'll have to remember about the whistling....

I say "amen" to it all, and to your older post on older adults...
Amen.

we are similar... but i'm afraid in boonieville the little toothpick holder goes on the table inbetween salt-n-pepper and the butter dish...

My grandma made the best pickled beets a body could ever taste. Like candy.

And I recently had brussel sprouts shaved thin on a mandeline slicer and braised in bacon fat and wine with leeks. Good eating!

But you can keep the creamed peas. Eew.

Oh, and I do not whistle off-key. So there!

Why would anyone cream green peas? Yech! Why mess with a good thing?

I'm with you on almost all of these, but could I please have your sprouts?

Flying roaches make me scream....always....even when I am supposed to be acting all professional and mature.

I'm with you on everything except the beets, and I can take or leave those. The toothpicks and the people who chain their dogs would be at the top of my list.

Wait - roaches can FLY????? I had no idea. I've never actually seen one up close, but seeing them on tv or in movies always makes me shudder.

I'm pretty much with you except that I like whistling and brussle sprouts.
