News Bulletin Fish Runs Outside, Owner Upset

Fish, a 9 month old ginger kitten was reported missing by his owner this morning. "He shot out the door before I could grab him!" boo-hoo'd M. Casserole.

The kitten, well-known for his curiosity and energy, was last seen running to the left of the Casserole home. Attempts to catch him without falling over the brick debris in the dark failed. M. Casserole called out the traditional, "Cat Cookies! Cat Cookies" but at 4:10 am. she kept her volume down to avoid upsetting her neighbors.

Fish's brother, Whistle, is disturbed by his brother's absence. "He's gonna get in big trouble, I think," said the almost matching ginger cat. "I've gotten six Cat Cookies already because our Mom is upset."

Local cat finder, LD circled the block of homes in Fish's neighborhood speaking to neighbors about Fish's disappearance.

This story will be updated later this evening.

You silly little cat! Go home now!

If I lived closer I would call out *cat cookies* too.

Maybe that is it...we all need to start hollaring cat cookies and he will get the vibe.

Teddy the 3 legged ginger pirate cat returned home this evening after 3 nights on the tiles...perhaps there is a ginger cat convention somewhere. But the rattle of spoon against feeding dish proved irresistable tonight. Come on Fish,- be kind to your humans.

If he's like other teens, he'll stroll in after M. Casserole has worried her little head with that "What? Me? I just out on a walkabout!" expression on his little cat face.

And I hope he does it real soon!

Any word yet? The Songbird household continues to wait and pray.

Fish is HOME! LD took some trash to the garbage can, looked across the street to the Methodist Church and there was Fish wandering around in the church yard. He's fine. I'm so glad LD saw him and brought him home.
He's fine but worn out. Whistle says he smells funny.
Thanks for your concern. Whew!

Oh, thank goodness!
I always thought it was Whistle who tried to get outside, wasn't it?

Hooray! By the time I got here he was home, so I didn't have to live with the suspense.

Cat cookies for everyone!

I think it was the Methodism that caused him to leave your house. Has he been feeling strangely warmed lately?

Yay!! I'm so glad that Fish is back home with Whistle where he belongs. Another round of cat cookies on me!

Bear, I'm concerned that the cats of my family love crossing the street to the Methodist Church. I am raising Calvinist Kitties here and have said so to them.
Andy went into the Methodist sanctuary right after the bride entered for her wedding. He stayed until the wedding director shoo-ed him out. Rusty loved to sniff Methodist tires at their early service.
I'm thinking of sending them to PCUSA Camp to get their minds righted...
What do you think?

Gosh, I would go with them if it would help. Although my chaotic UCC ways might make things worse.

Though I'm always one to caution against stereotyping...is it possible that the cats are more attracted to Wesleyan theology and dogs (and other 'beasts of burden') are more attracted to Calvinism?

Regardless, as one with a Catholic sister, a Greek Orthodox sister, a Bible Church brother, and Baptist parents...this Presbyterian says live and let live on the whole intra-family denominational stuggle.

Peace....
