as a junker, I come across good stuff to make into something else.

can you help me think of a new use for bedskirts? I find great fabrics made into bedskirts. how can these be repurposed? i don't sew 'cept for stuffies.

You could make valances out of them, Cassie. You don't have to sew, either if you use iron on seam tape or interfacing to secure an open hem on the back for the rod to come through.

Valances were my first thought too, QG.

Or, pillows only require sewing around the edges...

Kids can make costumes out of them, if you rip the ruffle away from the base.

Or you could "donate" them to the stash of local quilter. There's no such thing as too much fabric.

Valances and pillows, for sure....I can see embellishments too!! Get out the hot glue gun: fancy up hats, lampshades, purses, maybe even fancy bows for shoes and sneakers! (the craft store has clip on dealies so you could make these removeable). And if you want to hand sew, you could embellish guest towels.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Can you think of other uses than curtains? or Quilting squares? I don't need either of these.

I'm sure you need more good non-scratchy pieces of cloth to polish all your silver! Cut 'em up.
