My overly-thrifty side said, "It's already half-gone; if it was bad, wouldn't it have made us sick by now?" My intelligent side dropped it into the trash.
I'll pick up some Skippy later. I was engaging in a Skippy-vs.-Jif debate, but Songbird tipped the scales.
Umm, at least you didn't send a jar of it to your son's school for a class party. I emailed his teacher as soon as I heard. We had the left overs of that jar which manBoy had been eating by the spoonful for the last two weeks and half of another jar that we've had for months.

Close call, Cassie!
Portia and Babs always insisted on Jif because they thought PP p-nut butter was too sweet.
Glad you didn't get sick from it, my mother-in-law did. Luckily we use Jif.
Me, too! Luckily we were also spared.
I am greatly distressed. I LOVE Peter Pan peanut butter, but now I'm scared of it!
This is why everyone should be eating Skippy, which they used to make in my hometown.
OK, Skippy Peanut Butter it is!
I have some omega-3 peanut butter in the pantry but no one will touch it. Even the birds spit it out when they beak it off pinecones...
So did we. It's gone now.
