Remembering Rusty 1986-2005

Rusty, that great ginger cat, died two years ago today. His obituary appears here

LD and I took donations to the Humane Society in Rusty's memory this afternoon.

His gravesite is a sunflower bed now underneath the bird feeders.

I'm thankful I had him as my cat.

Just Remembering,

St. Casserole

It's so wrong to be furrist, but I know in my soul that ginger cats are best.

I'm glad for the gift that was Rusty.

I'm sorry. I know what it is like to love a pet because...

On that same day, I became a doggie-mama for the first time. Today is our 2nd Tannerversary. Blog and photo to follow.

I remember the day he died. I was so sad for you.
Kitties are the best.

I remember it, too. It was the day you began to be real to me, or that I wanted you to be.

I know he was so happy with you. And what a wonderful place for him to rest.

My cat, Lucy, sits now next to my computer, purring a 'Godspeed' to Rusty.

That was a beautiful and lyrical obit. It's been two years since I buried Mousey in the backyard -- and I still miss his weight on my feet in the middle of the night.

God Bless Rusty.

God bless Rusty, and God bless you for such a lovely remembrance.

My next cat is definitely going to be a ginger cat. I would like to add another to our family over the summer, but my significant other does not agree on the timing.

*sigh*

Rest in peace, good Rusty. Your people will always love you.

As you know, I loved a ginger cat a feline felon named D'Wayne for the many felons in the Texas prison system also named Wayne or D'Wayne as their mommas preferred.

Our Boston terrier Zelda died two years ago this month. We mourn her passing but celebrate the blessing that was knowing her and calling her friend everyday.

Our house is still pet central. We still have kitties a plenty and our rescued dogs Hannah and Jasmine the Boston terriers and of course Nellie sister to Zelda and the leader of the pack.

I think of you often and worry about you this hurricane season. I am grateful to God for our friendship and the many joys of this life that we share. Many hugs and warm thoughts as we start another day.

Even though we now have 3 cats, I still miss my Millie. He's been gone over 3 years now.

I still miss Rufus, my folks Ginger cat. he used to sleep with me whenever i visisted them. he died in November 2005. We do not know his age, only he was old according to vet. He showed up in their yard and became my dad's special pal.
Buddy the Wonder Dog was laid to rest in September 2004. I wrapped him in a brazil tee-shirt and my dad bureid him in the rain.
We are sad for your loss and the grief that just doesn't go away. you nevr repa,ce a pet, you get new ones to love for their own unique traits, but you never forget the others.
Peace to you,
1-4G and Mel
