According to the NYTimes, the Riverside Church in Manhattan is looking for a new senior pastor. James Forbes, one of my favorite American preachers, retires June 1.

I'm available for the senior pastor position.

I believe that I have a unique perspective to offer Riverside.

Hold out, 5th Avenue is putting their search committee together; and that job comes with a plush 4 bedroom, Central Park view manse apartment.

Ah, the city lights, the city nights, Broadway and really good pizza........Not to mention saving the city. New York would be very lucky!

You will be much closer to a certain someone at a certain seminary if you took that job, just saying.

You have my vote too! For either Riverside or 5th Ave. And, can I come visit? NYC is at the top of my list for next vacation.
