Fish

Fish went to see his pawodedic vet yesterday. She put a new cast/splint on his leg.
He spent hours waiting, without breakfast or his morning coffee, to get the new splint.

Vet says he is running around too much. We'll slow Fish down by putting him in my study (a small room) with Calvin's Institutes as assigned reading.

I'm adding a tablespoon of yogurt to his breakfast for extra calcium. He prefers shrimp flavored yogurt, but Dr.Vet said "plain".

Dragging a splint around slows a kitty down. He needs four good legs.

When I pray for him, I put my hand on his cast and ask for healing. Are you surprised? I want to ask you to pray for him, too, but I am unsure if I can be this vulnerable with you.

He was the highest jumping cat I've ever known before the injury. Now he drags his leg in the splint waiting for his body to heal the fracture.

Please be that vulnerable. We will absolutely pray for him. And you as you take care of him.

Maybe he needs a vacation to lovely NC to recuperate?

You would have to escort him, of course...

Poor Fishy.
Let me know if he figures out double pre-destination.

Poor Fish! Isn't Calvin's Institutes a TAD harsh? How about the shorter Westminster Catechism?

Poor Fish! Melech and I will pray hard tonight. Maybe even raise our paws up.
I am with QG, I think the CAT-echism would be perfect reading.
now, Whistle has been tagged, and needs to visit my blog for June 12.
Might need a little help form Sister

I am praying for poor Fish. I think I prayed for him right after the fracture was discovered, but have been remiss since then. I'll remember now.

Lord heal Fish in super quick time so he can go back to eating shrimp flavored yogurt ...

our dogs love cottage cheese but I don't think that's got much calcium in it.

We think Calvin should slow him down considerably. It works when our human has insomnia, so should work for Fish too. Even modernised version slows her down, although she likes reading him.

And we will pray for Fish too.

Hey, Mr. Fish,
You feel better, okay!!!
I'll give you kisses, and play with your tail. That makes everybody feel better.

Chloe here, rubbing her head on the keyboard and purring her prayers with great devotion...Her aunt Toffee once argued with a car, and dislocated her hip...she had to live in a playpen for 8 weeks till it was healed. She cried all the time. Calvin is a small price to pay to avoid that.
Calvin and Hobbes, of course, might be more entertaining. God bless Fish...and Whistle and St C too.

Yes indeedy. Laying my hands on this computer right now. I'd be surprised if you DIDN'T pray for him that way. Bless you for sharing it with us.

I'm Pooter, one of Rev Dona Quixote's cats. I'll pray for Fish...

It's NOT silly to ask for prayers for your cat --one of RDQ's churches took up a collection for me once when I was badly hurt ...

The Typist's small group has prayed for me when I've been sick, and I'm a dog. I'll pray for Fish. And The Typist says she's even better at praying for cats from far away because when she's close to them they make her sneeze.
