Saturday Cat Blogging

Dibley napping in front of Assumpta on chair. Two pairs of shorts, outgrown by LS, provide a comfortable cushion. Tapestry tablerunner from garage sale (what am I going to do with it?) on back of chair. On the far left side, you can see a bit of my brick courtyard outside my Study doors. Can you see the heat? Note small white paws with black toe pads behind Dibley.

Andy the Big Cat is sleeping outdoors recalling his ancestor's days in Egypt (origin of Cats). He is reflecting on Exodus 1: 8-2:10 when there was, "...a new king, who did not know about Joseph..."
(v. 8). Andy's world changed when the kittens arrived. He is pondering the verse as he thinks of his own life, wondering what went awry with his plans to be an only cat.

Thanks for the hits,
St. Casserole

What a good kitty! He looks like my D'Wayne. As you recall, he was named for the propensity of Texas convicted felons to share the middle name "Wayne" or "D'Wayne."

We cannot decide are these boys orange, yellow, red, gold? What color is this type of kitty?

We always called cats like Dibley marmalade cats. Jaye, little Assumpta is black with touches of white on the paws.

Giggling at the name "D'Wayne." So true!

Our cats were both named by DD17. The tiger cat is Mia, named after soccer star Mia Hamm, and the black cat is Spooky, who was a Halloween cat. They, however, think their names are Tigressa and Panthera, which suits their personalities a bit more...

Dibley is a dead ringer for my Leo too. I love that--marmalade.

Dibley is a short-haired orange cat. He's a lighter orange color, not a deep orange or rust color. Assumpta is a long haired black with white paws and a white neck ruff kind of gal.
Dibbie says he wants to change his middle name to "D'Wayne" to be like the JR Suter kitties. I said ok as long as he isn't changing his name to defraud anyone or for criminal reasons. Dibbie says "D'Wayne" sounds like a name for a tough cat.

So I was thinking there was one great conversation going on here about tough kittens, but it was mostly evil spam. Sigh.
Tell Dibley that D'Wayne sounds like an awesome name. Tell him we have a cat named Puss Puss; imagine trying to live with that!

Songbird, I wondered what was going on with all the comments, too. Dibley is fascinating but not 18 comments worth.
Where did those lil trashcans that allow me to delete comments go? I need one of those spam things where you have to type the jibbled letters to leave a comment....
All the REAL D'Waynes have found my comment section!
