Preaching camp is great! I'm glad I drove to Atlanta for a week of sermons, lectures and music. I've loved all the speakers and tomorrow (!!!) I hear James Forbes. So excited! So happy! So full of ideas, images and hope!

Meeting RGBPs amazes me. I hugged Cheesehead several times when I met her. Couldn't help myself! RevMommy is here and I've hugged her, too. We four (Songbird is sitting behind me knitting as I write this) will have breakfast tomorrow morning.

Wish you all could be here. Wish LH could share the good meals, hear these brilliant speakers and enjoy the cool Atlanta weather with me. He's home taking care of the children and pets, etc.

Take care of yourself,

St. C

Hey there! I'm back in FL and sooooo jealous that you get to hear James Forbes!!! I will probably not be too focused with work tomorrow...probably daydream about what you and the rest of the RevGalBlogPals will be doing. Have a great week! Enjoyed meeting you and having great laughs together!

I'm so happy you are having a good time and do wish I could be at the meetup, BUT those of us who have been LEFT BEHIND are now into our second day of partying.(See the comments on the Pssst post of the RGBP webpage)

Must run--that's Mindy in the TTOJ picking me up so we shop for tonight's virtual luau. I get to ride shotgun!

Lydia, I'm SO glad to meet you! I'm proud of you doing the work God called you to do. We miss you already. Sorry you had to leave early. James Forbes was Killer this morning. I'm shaking, still.

Lydia, as I told you the other night, you pretty much rock! I wish all the RevGals could have heard you talking about your prison ministry. So good to meet you!

Dear See-Through,

Thanks for asking.

Life on the Katrina Coast has been quite hectic since Mrs. C left for her Festivus of Preachtous what with the normal work load and the children. Master C just graduated from high school is looking for lucrative work to purchase necessities like large tires and a plasma tv... all required by his college of choice. Miss C appears to be majoring in social life and minoring in knowing everybody else's business, but, I must say, is quite gifted in both (Mom's DNA or mine?). The twin cats are miscreants and contraries and if not for a few, limited moments of cuteness.... The dog, at least, is a devoted, constant companion and thinks whatever I do is the greatest thing ever done by anyone. If she would chew tic tacs and use deordorant, she'd be a perfect pet.

Mr. C

i'm jealous, but i keep telling myself that next year, when i've [hopefully] been called to a church and am making more money than i am right now, i will be able to come and join the festival of the homies.

until then, i'll have to join the other RGBP's at the virtual party.

hope you are having a good time, St. C!!!!

Glad you could make "Preaching Camp." I missed it this year -- Chicago was great last year. I guess I'll have to wait another year to get my Tom Long fix.

I wonder...is it unpastoral, or sexist, or in anyway derisive to call someone, 'one hell of an amazing broad'? If it is, then I won't call StC one of those...

If it ain't...well...

There is a famous episode of 'Designing Women' where the writer Dash Goff, played by Gerald McRaney, leaves a note describing the various members of the Sugarbaker Design Firm..."sweet-smelling, coy, cunning, voluptuous, voracious, delicious, pernicious... these earth sister/rebel mothers... these arousers and carousers."

Until this week, I'd of sworn that was only a work of fiction...

Just call me a fan...
