Gulf Views

I saw the Gulf for the first time in over a month Friday. The Gulf road is closed to everyone but emergency personnel, debris removal trucks and property owners who can prove residence (or former residence since the homes are destroyed). The area is blocked off with razor wire and military check points. I viewed the hurricane damage from Waveland to Gulfport with a UMCOR worker with credentials. When I finally got to sleep last night, I had nightmares. Here are more photos.

St C,

I have nightmares too. The only thing that keeps me going is that I know is with us and is watching over us and he will give us the strenght we need to continue on.

I will also be praying for you, as well as Seawitch.

I could say everything will be okay, but I know it doesn't that way right now. Just hold on to Him, and He will carry you through this period of your life. God bless you.

The picture of the chair sitting there in the midst of all the debris says it all. What a horrifying picture of devastation.

Praying for you and yours, too. Cuddle Andy and pee pee puppie - the animals always make us feel better, don't they?

Hugs.

Hi St. Casserole-- Just letting you know I can more readily identify with you now that I have met Katrina's ugly step-sister Rita. It's a crummy club to belong to,isn't it?

We still have a house that is standing, so many more are not so fortunate.

Ah, but the grace of God will bring us through. That much I know.

Continuing to think of you and pray for your family and area...
